Q.

How much does the program cost?

 

The program is offered without charge to anyone who finds it useful. Registration is required after 30 days.

   

Q.

What about donations?

 

Donations are appreciated and can be sent directly from the program using a credit card. You can also mail a donation if you live in the United States.

   

Q.

Can I register without making a donation?

 

Yes. You will receive an activation code that will work only with the version you registered. So be sure to save a copy of the setup.exe file you downloaded in case you need to reinstall the program in the future. Some features will be disabled.

Is technical support available?

 

Technical support is available to brothers who support our donation arrangement. Those who qualify enjoy these additional features:

  • Download program updates when released

  • Download the latest Congregation Bible Study, Theocratic Ministry School,  and Service Meeting schedules (saves time)

  • Download and install the latest 30 day trial

  • Need help, email your question to support

  • Email your suggestions to support

   

Q.

Is telephone support available?

 

No. Telephone support is NOT available. All support questions must be emailed and written in English.

What happens if I do not register?

 

You can continue to use the program but print and email functions will be disabled after 30 days.

   

Q.

Can I install the trial on multiple computers?

 

Yes. You may install the trial on any computer you own and personally use. However, you may not install it on a shared computer at the local Kingdom Hall or on a USB Flash drive (or similar device).

How can I install the program on my other computers?

  • Download and install the 30 day trial

  • Enter your name, address, phone numbers, email, and congregation name on the Welcome screen

  • Click Continue and select Yes when prompted if you are already a registered user

  • Enter your activation code

  • After a restart, restore from a backup file

   

Q.

Why can't I use Import and Export?

 

The programs database is constantly changing with each new release. As a result, users with different versions cannot trade files. So access to Import and Export is only enabled for registered users with tech support.

   

 

Q.

Can I give the 30 day trial to other brothers?

 

Yes. But it would be best if you instead provided a link to the web site so they can download their own 30 day trial.

   

Q.

Can I share my activation code with others?

 

No. The activation code is for you only. Never give your activation code anyone!

   

Q.

Another brother is taking over my scheduling responsibilities. Can I transfer my registration to him?

 

No. Registrations are not transferable even if a donation was made.

   

Q.

Can I get a refund of my donation?

 

No. Refunds are not issued due to a cancellation, non use or non activation. Remember, you made a voluntary donation, you did not buy the program.

   

Q.

Can I give a copy of my backup file to another user?

 

Yes. Backup files can be shared with other users of this program. If you wish to share congregation information with another coordinator who uses KHS, use the Import and Export utility instead.

   

Q.

My computer crashed. How do I reinstall the program?

  • Download and install the 30 day trial

  • Enter your name, address, phone numbers, email, and congregation name on the Welcome screen

  • Click Continue and select Yes when prompted if you are already a registered user

  • Enter your activation code

  • After a restart, restore from a backup file

   

Q.

How can I transfer my data to another brother in my congregation who will be taking over for me?

 

The other brother must first download and register his own copy of the program. Once he is ready, export your data to a Local_Exchange.zip file and email it to him so he can import your schedules.

   

Q.

Can I export the reports to MS Word or plain text formats?

 

Yes. There is an export option for all reports that allows export to MS Word, Excel, RTF, PDF, HTML, and Plain Text.

   

Q.

Is there a copy of sent email stored somewhere in the program? 

 

The program does not store a copy of sent emails but if you configure the program to use Microsoft Outlook or Gmail, you will have a copy of all sent email since these mail clients track sent  mail automatically.
