What languages are supported?

The program supports English, Spanish, French, Dutch, and German. If your congregation language is not listed, do NOT install the trial as registration is only available to congregations that speak one of these languages.

 

Can I install KHS on my phone or tablet computer? 

KHS is a Windows program and can only be installed on devices running Windows which means the iPad and Android tables are NOT compatible devices. While there are few Windows tablets available now, look for many more to be available when Microsoft releases Windows 8 later this year.

 

How much does the program cost?

The program is offered without charge but registration is required after 30 days. Donations are accepted and can be sent directly from the program.

 

Can I register without making a donation?

Yes, a donation is not required to register but tech support and updates will not be included with your registration. Save a copy of the setup.exe file in case you ever need to reinstall KHS as your activation code will not work with future versions of the trial.

 

How do I qualify for tech support?

Brothers who make a modest donation each year can qualify for:

  • Tech support via e-mail

  • Download program updates

  • Download the monthly Kingdom Ministry schedules - English only

  • Download the annual Theocratic Ministry School schedule -  English, ASL, and Spanish only

  • Exchange data with other users via Import and Export

 

Is telephone support available?

Telephone support is NOT available. Support questions must be submitted in English via email.

 

What happens after 30 days if I do not register?

The program will not allow access unless you register. Your data will be safe until you decide to register or you can uninstall the trial from the Control Panel.

 

May I install KHS on more than one of my computers?

Yes. You may install KHS on any computer you own and personally use. However, you may not install it on a shared computer at the local Kingdom Hall or a USB Flash drive or similar device.

 

Will KHS run on my Mac?

Yes, if you own one of the newer Intel-based Mac's. You will need a licensed copy of Windows installed under Boot Camp, Fusion, or Parallels. Click the link below to learn more:

*  CrossOver (Wine) is not compatible with KHS.

 

Can I share my activation code with other brothers?

No, the activation code is for you only. This applies even if there are several brothers in the same congregation that wish to use KHS. Each must register their own copy of KHS.

 

How can I transfer my data to another brother in my congregation who will be taking over for me?

Provided he has registered his own copy of KHS, you can export your data to a Local Exchange file and email it to him for import. You both must have tech support to complete this data exchange.

 

Can I transfer my registration to the brother who is taking over for me?

No, your registration cannot be transferred to another brother even if a donation was made. All users must register their own copy.

 

Can I get a refund of my donation?

Donations are not refunded due to a cancellation, non-use, or non-activation with one exception; you may request a refund if you made a donation by mistake and I did not yet email you an activation or renewal code.

 

Can I give a copy of my backup file to another user?

No, this is not permitted under the EULA. Use one of the Import and Export options instead.

 

My computer crashed. How do I reinstall the program?

  • If you have tech support, download and install the latest 30 day trial. If you do not have tech support, use the original setup.exe file you downloaded.

  • Enter your name, address, phone numbers, email, and congregation name on the Welcome screen

  • Click Continue and select Yes when prompted if you are already a registered user

  • Enter your activation code

  • After a restart, restore from a backup file

 

Is there a copy of sent email stored somewhere in the program? 

The program does not store a copy of sent emails but if you configure the program to use Outlook or Gmail, there should be a copy of all sent email in your Sent folder.
