Q.

How much do you charge to register the program?

 

There is no charge to register. Donations are accepted in support of the program and may include technical support and access to future updates. This arrangement is explained in more detail when you register the program.

   

Q.

What happens if I register without making a donation?

 

You will receive an activation code that will allow you to continue using the program indefinitely, however, technical support and access to updates will NOT be available. Bethelites, Missionaries, and Special Pioneers are exempt from making donations and will always receive full support in appreciation of their full-time activities.

Is Technical Support available during the 30 day trial?

 

No. Technical support is optionally available to registered users. Telephone support is not available.

Is Telephone support available if I register and make a donation?

 

No. Due to the number of users, technical support is provided via email only.

   

Q.

Will I lose all of my data after the 30 day trial expires?

 

No. You can continue to use the program after the 30 day trial has expired but print and email functions will be disabled. Both features will be re-enabled when you register your copy.

How often may I request a 30 day trial?

 

It is appreciated if you only request the trial once every 12 months but if you tried the program in the past and would now like to register a copy, send a special request to: support@majesticsoftware.net

Can I install the 30 day trial on more than one computer?

 

Yes. You may install the program on any computer you own and personally use. However, you may not install KHS on a shared computer at the local Kingdom Hall or on a USB Flash drive (or similar device).

How can I install the program on another computer I own?

 

Run the 30 day trial setup on the new computer and then restore your data from a backup file. If you registered and included optional technical support, you may request a copy of the latest version.

Can I give a copy of my backup file to other Brothers?

 

Yes. Backup files can be shared with other users of this program. If you wish to share congregation information (speakers, outlines, etc) with another coordinator who uses KHS, use the Electronic Exchange export option instead.

Can I share my registered copy of the KHS with other brothers in my own congregation?

 

No. The registration is for you only. Other brothers in your congregation who wish to use the program must request a 30 day trial and register their own copy.

If your congregation splits and the new coordinator wishes to use the program, he should request his own 30 day trial.

Can I transfer my registration to another brother?

 

No. Registrations are not transferable. This applies even if a donation was made in support of the program.

Can I give the 30 day trial or download link to other Brothers?

 

No. You may provide a link to the main web site so they can personally request a 30 day trial. In this way, I can be sure that each new user meets all the minimum requirements.

   

Q.

My computer crashed. How do I reinstall the program?

 

If you have a copy of the original 30 day trial program, run the setup again to reinstall the program and then restore your data from a backup file. If you do not have a copy of the 30 day trial and you qualify for Technical Support, you may request a new 30 day trial.

   

Q.

How can I transfer Public Talk data to another Brother in my congregation?

 

The new Brother must first request a copy of the 30 Day Trial. Once he downloads and registers his copy, you should give him a backup file of your database, so he can restore it on his computer. He would need to edit the User Info and change the name and address information.

   

Q.

How do I delete unused dates from my outgoing schedule?

 

There is not a delete button for unused or blank dates for outgoing talks since these open dates are ignored anyway. They will be removed from your schedule when you delete and archive past talks.

   

Q.

Can I export the reports to MS Word or plain text formats?

 

Yes. There is an export option for all reports that allows export to MS Word, Excel, RTF, PDF, HTML, and Plain Text.

   

Q.

Is there a copy of sent email stored somewhere in the program? 

 

It depends on how you configured your email. If you use Microsoft Outlook to send email from KHS then you will have a copy of all sent email. Otherwise there are no copies of sent email.
